The "Umkomaas Geriatrics" are a group of Senior Golfers who play together on Tuesdays and Fridays unless otherwise arranged. Tuesdays are largely social with Fridays having an individual competition built in. Small prizes are on offer!

They currently tee off at 07h00. Players must be on the Tee 15 minutes ahead of time to be in the draw.

To play with the geriatrics costs  R 5.00 per game  in addition to green fees. Green fees are currently R 55.00 when playing with this group.

The format is mostly Individual Stableford, however, should numbers justify it another format may be called on any day.

As regards the more serious side of things please note the following:

Cards for each game must be handed in at the conclusion of the game.

Each player shall have a valid NGN card and handicap. Should this not be possible such player will not be included in the formal competition. Exceptions may be made for players in the process of applying for membership.

The group reserve the right to check scores as per cards submitted to scores captured and records contained in the NGN system and will also if necessary contact the home club of the player to verify handicaps and/or report any irregular practices which may impact the handicap of the player.

Should a score which may cause the handicap of the player to change not be entered within a reasonable time after the game Club Management will be requested to enter a gross score for such player equivalent to the course par rating as at the date of the game in question and to advise the home club of the player in question accordingly.

A "N/R" entry into the system will only be acceptable if the player in question has immediately after or during the game notified the organizers of such intention and obtained their acquiescence.  

Other than local rules which may cause variances the rules of the R & A apply in full.
